Yurt progess

The yurt building has oficially begun.  Thank goodness!

Clearly, Little Puss (the grey one) And Max are super excited about the progress.  Can't you tell?

Here are the boys marking out where the 40 odd posts need to go.

We happen to have moved next to the best neighbours we could ever hope to have.  Not only are they lovely and genuinely care about us and our boys, but they also have an equally lovely family.  On top of that, they are wonderful company and I can tell we are going to be really dear friends.  On top of that, they kindly offered to come down and dig the holes for us with their brand new, big fancy tractor which made light work of an otherwise big job.  Seriously, talk about lucky!  They have helped to make this big transition a little gentler for us all.

Look at those holes - a thing of beauty!  They reminded me of that game whack-a-mole.

Posts beginning to go in.  We have more in then this done now.

The yurt!  Its now all securely wrapped in tarps out of the weather.  Isn't the timber beautiful?

We also have a rainwater tank that's actually hooked up, fancy eh?  This tank is only going to be used for washing/bathing not drinking as it is a second-hand tote.  We are still waiting on a plumbing part to come in so we don't actually have running water into the van or the shower.....Baby steps though, yes?

Somedays I find this whole camping set up humorous and am content enough to make do, other days I find it all so very tiring and I get a chronic case of the grumps, which is usually improved with coffee and chocolate.  I'm quite sure that one day (far in the future) we will look back at all of this and laugh with great fondness at this crazy adventure of ours!

Much love,
Emma
