Weekend reads

So yesterday the property settled and we became full and official owners of the farm!  Which is both surreal and exciting.    We have ordered the first 30ft yurt that should be delivered to a port in Sydney mid January.  I am in the process of finding homes for furniture and other bits and bobs which will not be making the move with us.  We hope to move there over the Christmas holidays, ready for the boys to start the new school year.

My internet is patchy today due to a coming storm, but here she is.  One photo is the best I can manage!

The kitchen dresser, chairs, a bookshelf, the spare bed, toys, crockery.  All kinds of things are getting the cull.  Its a big move and though we will be tackling it ourselves with big trailers and some family help, everything we can get rid of makes the job easier, faster and cheaper.  So just a quick post today, with this weekend reads.  With a strong focus on the ethical and fast fashion industry.

Breathtakingly Beautiful Japanese Tiny House on Wheels
I loved this tiny home, the care, design and dedication to making everything beautiful and functional is simply breathtaking.  Just look at the detail.

Ethical fashion resource 2018
Heads up there is a link here you need to put down your email to actually read the report, and answer a few questions.  But it is an easily printed PDF file and very easy to read with a grade system.  I think it is so important we vote with our dollers and support companies which are treating their workers fairly.

Why we can only trust ethical fashion reports so far

How to engage with ethical fashion
Interesting Ted talk, well worth the watch.

Well I best toddle off and get dinner on.  May you all have a lovely weekend and do something for yourself that you love.

Much love,
