A quick weekend away.

Last week we had to juggle staff at the shop unexpectedly, which ment we got a 3 day weekend!  What a treat.
So we quickly packed up the old van, grabbed some basic supplies and went down to a beautiful town and lovely beach front caravan park at Moonta Bay, Which is about 1.5hrs away from us.

We saw some local sights, we got back in sync as a family, we went to bed early, we gazed at the ocean.  Pure bliss.

Much love,
Emma

How's the serentiy?...

My mini chef cooking breakfast.

We went on a fantastic train ride and enjoyed the local museum very much, it was beautifully set up.

  2. It sounds like you had a lovely weekend together, Emma. You even took your own chef along, I see! We are heading off on a family holiday in just under two weeks and I can't wait! We'll hang out together on the beach, go swimming, play board games and tennis and eat bbq dinners every night! Pure happiness! Meg:)

    1. So lovely! On the upside after using the van for two months when renovating the kitchen in the cottage I had my caravan system down pat! 😂 I hope you have a wonderful break away. Xx

    1. Sorry Phil, next time I promise! My camera was playing up this round and I hardly took any photos. :(

  4. Neat! I love the ocean. Looks like a well-deserved fun break for you and your family. Kids make everything fun (with a little work from the parents!) and I love the pictures of your dog who thinks he is a kid (next to your son who has his little stuffed animal)! Andrea

    1. We even camped next to a family with a couple of young boys. Was a perfect set-up. :)

  5. Ah! This brings back memories! Used to do the same thing when my boys were small. And we had an old van too. Cherish the memories! Little boys grow up fast. Don't all dogs think they are people? Ha!

    1. We have got the packing caper down to 2 hrs from woe to go. I reckon I can get it down to 1.5hrs if we set the van up just a touch more. Meaning it's even easier to go away.

  6. "How's the serenity?" ...great quote from my favourite movie of all time, just love the Kerrigans. The Aussie humour resonates with this Kiwi. Sounds like you had a nice break. We all need a bit of a change now and then.

  8. How lovely. Family holidays are the best. I nodded my head when I read, "went to bed early". That's something we should do more often. ;)
