SOLD!

Today is the end of an old season and the beginning of a new.  The shop has officially changed hands.

Aggie sends her love.

It has been such a long time coming I am unsure what I feel, a lot of things I guess.  To think we are actually going to do all those crazy things we have been talking about and dreaming about for years.  Well it hardly feels real.

I am looking forward to this new season, of hopefully a slower time.  But I am grateful for all the things the business has brought us.  For now I'm going to enjoy spending more time together as a family, of slowing down, camping and simply being together, just being.

Much love,
Emma

  1. Emma, I was confused for a minute as Rhonda also had a photo of her Gracie on her blog post and I was wondering what she had sold. LOL! Congratulations...your plans for the future are now falling into place. I can't wait to hear about your adventures down the track.

    1. Yes, will take a little while for it to sink in. We are armpit deep in budgeting to ensure none of our hard earned cash “slips through our fingers”.

  3. What wonderful news, such a relief, now you can breathe out 😊
You could light some candles and have a thanksgiving meal tonight, ask for guidance and support in your next venture together as a family.

Taking some time out for a while will be just wonderful for everyone.

    Let the fun begin !

    1. No I don’t I’m sorry. It’s a kind of succulent thing and grows from a cutting and likes the shade and has a pretty pink little flower.

  12. This must feel so surreal after such a long time coming. Congratulations. I hope you are able to move towards the slower life you've been wanting. I've been reading for sometime but not much of a commenter but today the combination of your great news and the fact i'm reading on my computer has spurred me on (for some reason I have an aversion to commenting while on my phone).
Anwyay, best of luck with the big changes ahead. Maybe that farm purchase will be coming around....
    Have a good week.
    Cheers,
    Laura

    1. Hi Laura,
Great to hear from you, I too don’t like commenting on my phone so I hear you on that! I do hope it is soon, both Grant and I are already feeling a little lighter. Look forward to seeing hw that progresses over the coming weeks and months as we continue to unwind from it all.

  13. Emma I am so glad I 'popped in' this evening to catch up with your good news. Congratulations on the sale of the shop. I know big changes can be scary, and sometimes we wonder to ourselves if we are taking a leap of faith or just stepping off a cliff. I faced such a challenge last year after we sold our home in the city and moved to the country. Crunch time for me was do I continue to commute two hours a day to a well-paid full-time job that I had come to detest or accept the offer of a much less well paid job in my local town that was only two days a week. Well I took the job and I am so happy I did. I love working in my local town. Of course learning a new job is a challenge - and at only two days a week it takes much longer to learn a job - and my new job is so complex; and so very interesting. The past 12 months have been such an incredible journey for me and I am excited to see that you and your family are about to launch on a new leg of your own journey. Best wishes.
